Today saw VIPs from around the borough of Ealing attend the sabbath service at Ealing Synagogue. The guests included the Mayor, the leader of Ealing Council, head of the police, many councillors from both sides as well as local MPs.
One of the VIP guests was Councillor Julian Gallant, who commented on the event, “It was a truly uplifting and fascinating experience to attend the Civic Reception at Ealing Synagogue, especially so in these most worrying of times. What I heard was a message of love for all people; Rabbi Vogul spoke of his sorrow for the people of Israel and for the Palestinian people alike. There will be a new life of peace.”
The want for peace was there for all to see from everyone gathered of all faiths, as soon as possible.
