Ealing’s Conservative Councillors have confirmed their roles for the Municipal Year 2023-2024.
The Conservative Opposition is led by Cllr Julian Gallant, with Cllr Anthony Young as Deputy Leader and Cllr Seema Kumar as Whip.
Cllr Julian Gallant said: “Ealing needs a strong opposition which scrutinises Labour on key areas such as housing, the environment and council services. We are very concerned that Metropolitan Open Land might be de-designated, opening the way to uncontrolled development of our green spaces and that high building zones are being widened. We will continue to oppose the introduction of unwanted schemes like the LTNS and we’ll be looking carefully at Labour’s actual record of delivery, rather than mere promises, on education, culture and communication.”
Conservative opposition roles are:
Cllr Julian Gallant, Policy, Employment, Transport and Environment
Cllr Anthony Young, Finance and Planning
Cllr Seema Kumar, Business, Crime and Safer Communities
Cllr Gregory Stafford, Public Realm, Children and Education
Cllr Fabio Conti, Health, Wellbeing and Housing
