Developers are proposing to build a 16 storey skyscraper to accommodate 1200 students in the middle of Hanger Lane Gyratory, devastating the views from the Brunswick, Haymills and West Twyford areas. This is despite already having been granted planning permission for a 13-storey development. This comes as developers are also proposing 326 flats and another 13-storey development near Westgate House just off the Gyratory, towering over the Brunswick Conservation area.
These tower blocks will overlook neighbouring conservation areas and will be seen from across the ward. These huge developments will come without additional infrastructure to support the significant increase in population and will increase pressure on local services such as GP practices.
As your local Conservative councillors, Fabio Conti, Gregory Stafford and Nigel Sumner, we are opposing these developments, but we urge residents to respond to the consultations to express their views.
For the development at Manhattan Business Park behind Westgate House the planning application is open for consultation. The Ealing Council planning reference for the application is 212468FUL.
